Welcome to Regenerat,

Regenerat is the name that we have given to this beautiful
piece of property on which we are blessed to live.   We have
almost eight acres in the wine country of Monterey County.

We are small hobby breeders of the most wonderful breed of
dog in the world, Shih Tzus.  Even though my health prevents
my participating in competitions with my dogs,  we breed our
dogs to show quality.  I have tried the tiny ones, and they are
just not my cup of tea; thus, you will find that my puppies
mature to at least ten pounds.  We are not breeding toys but
a family member.  On rare occasion I will have a tiny, but I
don't plan on it.  My experience with the tinies is that the the
size has been the primary reason for matings.  That leaves
out all or most of the wonderful things that make up a Shih
Tzu.   I have concerns about their overall health, as well.  I
am aware of the issues that have been encountered in other
breeds that have been bred down.  Even though we aim for
show quality, the personality is the most important item that
we look for with intelligence running a close second.  We
have to spell many words around our dogs because they are
so very smart.   We want to make sure that your new puppy is
the sweetest that you could ever imagine.  We have been
raising Shih Tzu puppies for over thirteen years now and
dote on our dogs as if they were our precious children.  They
are free to roam around our home as if they owned it.   Yes,
they make a big mess at times, but that is the only way that I
will raise them.  I like them under my feet and tugging at my
pants leg at all times.  The joy that they give me far
outweighs the work they make.  They go home prespoiled
and well socialized.  A Vet recently told one of our new puppy
mommies that she "must have found the best breeder out
there".  We try.

All of our puppies go home having seen the Vet, up to date
on Vaccinations, treated for all known parasites and with a
five year guarantee against any
life-threatening congenital
disorders.

A deposit of $250 is required to hold a puppy.  Credit cards
can be used if you go through
PayPal.
When you are picking up a puppy, cash only is accepted.

Note:  My puppies are not available for visitation until they
are at least four weeks of age.
